'but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.'

God can feel the sadness and the depression everyone is feeling after the holidays.
You went from the most wonderful time of the year with so much excitement to a sudden crash.
Everything changed all of a sudden, now what do we do?
Gods solution for post-holiday blues is to have an attitude of gratitude. We all have things in our lives we can be thankful for. Some examples include having clean water to drink, having a home, a car, good health, having family, having a job, and even internet to read a blog. No matter which part of the world you are living in right now, there is something the God has blessed us with that we can be thankful for right now. Even the fact He has given us breath in our lungs to be able to see a new day. The ability to see and feel the sunshine (and for those living in areas with colder climates), can now enjoy seeing beautiful snowflakes.
Change of seasons is a gift from God and allows us to appreciate and enjoy each season we are in. God has taught me to cherish and enjoy each season while you are in it, instead of waiting for it to be over to go to the next one.
Every person has something they can be thankful for…If we stop and pay attention we can see how many things God has protected us from and even in a bad situation -things could of been worse and His Hand was there to help us. Sometimes we take for granted the things He is doing for us we forget to be grateful.
The Bible says a “ A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but a heartache crushes the spirit”
Proverbs 15:13. (https://my.bible.com/bible/111/PRO.15.13)
God is teaching me to survive the post holidays blues by having an attitude of gratitude.
Making a gratitude list in a journal or note section on your phone can help you..you can go back and refer to it when you feel the blues. Keep thanking God throughout the day for things you may have taken for granted and you will be able to have your joy be restored.
